The Provider Manager will report to the SAP Basis/ Operation Lead and act as the primary liaison between Sika and the external service providers in the SAP Basis space. The aim is to enforce a high level of service performance by the different service providers. To achieve this, we are looking for someone with a proven track record in the SAP Basis Technology and SAP Cloud Solutions space paired with strong experience in managing external service providers in an application managed service setup.

Exciting Challenges:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and interface between internal team and provider service managers and accordingly own the operative and strategic governance meetings.
  • Establish and manage the tactical and operational day-to-day relationship with suppliers in collaboration with the business where appropriate
  • Review performance and ensure that SAP basis services are delivered effectively and efficiently as per the contracts according to the defined SLAs. This includes incident and problem management as well as ensuring that services are available and performing as expected (incl. escalation if not satisfied with the quality). For projects, guaranteeing that any related provider services are on track to be delivered in due time and quality.
  • Promote the vendor processes within the internal team
  • Coordinate and facilitate discussions between involved parties when specific technical requirements/services are needed from vendors/other internal teams
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding of vendors
  • Handle and coordinate strategic / contractual topics with the vendors (e.g. vendor selection, contract negotiations, extensions, etc.)
  • Manage and oversee the provider contracts over their lifecycle and propose new service adaptations according to SAP’s best practice journey. Conduct mid- and long-term planning for the service and solution evolution aligned with Sika’s project and lifecycle planning of the SAP landscape.
  • Raise service improvements when needed, manage issues, resolve disputes and escalate internally to the SAP service line management if appropriate.
  • Review and approve work orders issued under master services agreements / statement of work and track the budget for the different service provider engagements.
  • Oversee and review the creation of technical operations manuals in line with the Sika corporate and IT strategy.
  • Aim to maximize the quality of application operations supported by the service providers driven by the motivation to achieve efficiencies and effectiveness and to improve service excellence.

Your expertise - Our strength

We Need Your Skills:

  • Strong personality with an education in Business, IT, Business Informatics or another similar field
  • Strong experience in SAP Basis Technology and SAP Cloud Solutions
  • Strong experience in the provider management field, incl. handling contracts of external providers
  • Strong experience in delivery management, operations, service management, production support and quality assurance.
  • In depth know-how of SLAs and IT Service Management Processes
  • Strong communication skills on different seniority levels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent technical understanding to be able to convey the internal requirements to the suppliers and facilitate discussions on a technical level
  • Strategic understanding of sourcing / supplier management and financial reporting
  • A strong team player who stays up to date with current trends and openly shares knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English
