Responsibilities & Opportunities

This is a Brighton plant position that leads the development of continuous improvement efforts in the areas of EHS compliance, productivity, waste minimization, inventory control, product quality, and other areas of site operations.

Compensation Range:  $80,000-$100,00 per year

Preferred Skills

EHS       

  • Follow-up, track and ensure timely closeout of environmental and safety related action items.
  • Assist with coordination, preparation, and maintenance of environmental compliance between internal audits
  • Develop and implement processes (both equipment based and administrative) to achieve compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Supports and provides input into the Site’s safety and environmental strategy
  • Provide engineering based continuous improvement solutions for minimizing the impacts of environmental processes (including waste minimization)
  • Participate and provide expertise (as necessary) in PHAs
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with waste management activities

 

Process Optimization       

  • Lead and support implementation and follow-up on Process Optimization
  • Conduct data analysis and process audits in the areas of inventory control, process waste, production optimization/OEE to discover and prioritize opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Lead investigations into administrative and process upsets that cause significant impact to profitability.  Implement procedure and system automation to prevent reoccurrence.

 

Production Execution       

  • Work with the Site Leadership Team to establish plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets to assure continuous improvement
  • Lead and Support Process Optimization activities in all functional areas of the site with a focus on overall process controls for inventory management, productivity, OEE, and waste minimization.
  • Coach and develop existing and new personnel (salaried and hourly) into high performance teams
  • Provide resources for and follow-up on the implementation of Lean tools
  • Interface with Global Production and Business Units
  • Support Quality processes
  • Support knowledge capture and transfer

 

Maintenance Support      

  • Assist in the development of maintenance improvement processes.  Support implementation and follow-up on maintenance processes.

 

Administrative   

  • Identify training needs of Daily Execution Team Members and support site in providing the necessary training opportunities

 

Capital Project Support    

  • Participate in the justification and prioritization of the projects from a unit / business / site perspective to maximize benefit
